ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Yuetong Zheng

Transportation Engineer

As a Transportation Engineer at ITDP, Yuetong Zheng focuses on policy analysis and vehicle electrification, and has supported projects including electric two- and three-wheelers research and truck electrification strategy design. Prior to joining ITDP, Yuetong accumulated experience in working with EV manufacturers at Tesla and US-China Business Council (USCBC), and later joined World Resources Institute’s (WRI) Electric School Bus Initiative, in which she was deeply involved in studies on charging system and battery supply chain. Her co-authored technical reports and data dashboard have helped inform U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program and have been quoted by multiple media outlets, including Bloomberg, New York Times and CNBC. Yuetong received her B.A. in Applied Psychology from Boston College, and later studied International Political Economy and obtained her M.A. from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service.
