ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Muguru Wairimu

Associate II, Active Mobility

Muguru holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Nairobi. Before joining ITDP as a Transport Planning Intern, she worked as an Assistant Highway Engineer at APEC Consortium Limited where she was involved in the geometric design review and road safety audits of different projects. She also previously worked as the Assistant Material Engineer in the same company where she was tasked with the supervision of the Nairobi ICD Yard and access roads projects. She strongly believes in equitable sharing of road space and sustainable transportation practices.
