ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Lauren O’Connell

Program Coordinator

Lauren O’Connell (she/her/hers pronouns) joins the ITDP US Team after working with Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program for several years. Lauren provided direct social services support to Boston residents experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and immigration-related challenges. Prior to this, she worked in Chiapas, Mexico where she helped manage a community health worker program. Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in Anthropology and Pre-Health Studies along with a minor in Latino Studies. In her free time, she loves learning hip-hop dance, watching gymnastics, and riding the MBTA all over town to find the best tacos.
