Ki-Joon Kim

Senior Technical Advisor

Ki-Joon Kim has over 30 years of experience in the transport sector, focusing on policy and project development. His work has been dedicated to promoting sustainable transport at the global level through national policy and local planning and implementation, with vast experience in funding and financing. He has developed numerous large-scale transport projects with support from governments and multilateral trust funds.

Most recently, Ki-Joon was a Principal Transport Specialist at the Asian Development Bank, where he was a champion for sustainable transport projects. He successfully implemented ADB’s first BRT project in Lanzhou, followed by BRT systems in Yichang and Jinan, and recently worked on e-mobility studies for 25 cities throughout the ADB regions.

With his decades of service with the Asian Development Bank and other international finance institutions, Ki-Joon will help set new standards for the transport sector through strategic funding, research, and capacity building.
