From Santiago to Shenzhen: How Electric Buses are Moving Cities
This report is a broad study concerning electrifying public bus systems, with the primary goal being to decrease carbon emissions from the transportation sector in the next decade and beyond.
Battery electric buses (BEBs) provide a timely solution for cities looking to: significantly cut emissions from the transportation sector; improve air quality; decrease noise pollution; and reduce resource usage. The report details the steps cities must take to electrify their bus fleet, with recommendations on various factors including, but not limited to: bus route planning to maximize battery life; finance models for upfront investment; charging infrastructure; and supporting policies to be considered by city governments.
