The Role

The Associate for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a full-time, hybrid position based in Washington, D.C., and an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to build a career in evaluation, impact measurement, and data-informed strategy within the international development or nonprofit sectors.

This role sits within ITDP’s Global Program and supports the M&E Program, which tracks organizational progress, evaluates project outcomes, and communicates results to funders, partners, and the public. The Associate plays a key role in maintaining high-quality data systems, analyzing impact, and supporting strategic planning across ITDP’s global offices.

You’ll work with internal databases, develop and improve impact tools (like ITDP’s SCOPE calculator), and lead global coordination of M&E activities. You’ll also contribute to in-depth evaluations, support research and reporting and help shape how ITDP measures and demonstrates impact.

This role is ideal for someone eager to grow a career in evaluation and impact measurement—you’ll gain hands-on experience, collaborate across international teams, and directly support how a mission-driven organization learns and improves its work.

The Associate reports to the Global Director and works closely with regional M&E leads and the Development team in New York.

This role is hybrid, based in Washington, D.C., with telework permitted from DC, Maryland, or Virginia only.
