Menos Cajones Mas Ciudad

Less Parking, More City

Currently, parking is being built at a faster rate than offices and apartments in Mexico City. This effect is a significant reducion in the quality of life for urban residents. Having too many parking spaces incentivizes taking trips by car. In addition, parking takes up space that could be used for parks, businesses, houses, or services. The solution is laws that discourage the construction of parking and at the same time, by adding infrastructure, incentivize trips on foot, bikes, and public transport.
