ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Zhang Yichi

Transportation Engineer

Yichi joined the ITDP Beijing office in August 2022 after graduating from Peking University with an MLA in landscape architecture. Her research interests mainly include the planning of public open space, shared mobility services, and the design of non-motorized transportation system, with a particular focus on urban street space, pedestrians’ travel behavior and environmental perception in the built environment. She is committed to advocating for sustainable travel modes, which contributes to safer, more comfortable, and more convenient street spaces where everyone enjoys non-motorized travel.
