ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Wang Qianyu

Urban Planner

Qianyu is an Urban Planner of the ITDP Beijing Office, graduated from Waseda University, Japan, with a master’s degree in Urban Planning. She focused on the study of TOD, and had made an academic presentation about TOD in the Conference of the Committee of Infrastructure Planning and Management of Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) in 2017. In addition, during the study in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan, she had studied about the reduction of urban CO2 emissions, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Environment and Development. Qianyu mainly focused on Transit-oriented Development (TOD) and Non-motorized Transport (NMT) since she joined ITDP. She has worked on China NMT Bluepaper phase II, and also committed to publicizing and promoting the concept of sustainable city and transportation by editing WeChat official articles.
