ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Transit Manager

Stanford Turner (he/him/his pronouns) joins ITDP as its Transit Manager. He coordinates their global work on public transport, including bus electrification, informal transit, and BRT.

Before he joined ITDP, Stanford worked as a consultant with the World Bank’s Infrastructure, PPP, and Guarantees team helping launch a rolling pipeline of infrastructure projects for the ASEAN Secretariat’s office.

His previous work experiences include managing the Digital Cities program for the Eno Center for Transportation and conducting fiscal & economic policy work for state and local governments at the Pew-MacArthur Results initiative.

Stanford holds a master’s in Urban & Regional Planning from Georgetown University, and bachelor’s in criminal justice from Michigan State University.
