ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Sonia Medina

Active Mobility Design Consultant

Sonia Medina is an Architect and Urban Planner. She joined ITDP in 2015, working in street design, pedestrian and cyclist mobility, and presenting at workshops in various cities in Mexico. She is also part of the active mobility team, leading urban design projects and working closely on the Ciclociudades strategy. Sonia focuses her professional work in assisting local governments and developing urban design projects emphasizing road safety. She has a degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and studied at the Technical University of Berlin for a year.
