Runjie earned his Master of Science degree in Urban Planning and Management from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He now works as a Transportation Engineer. In this role, Runjie is focus on NMT planning and detail design, TOD and related policy research. He has participated in several sustainable transportation-related projects of the Asian Development Bank and the United Nations, project cities including Suva in Fiji, Malacca and Penang in Malaysia, Cairo in Egypt, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Tongren in China. Runjie is a bike enthusiast, and is passionate about promoting the development of cycling lane systems in Chinese cities.
