ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Michael Tanuhardjo

Urban Development Associate I

Michael is an urbanite that believes mobility shouldn’t be a burden but a pleasant routine. With his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Parahyangan Catholic University and his self-taught knowledge of urban design, he’d like to build a livable and inclusive city by improving the urban mobility experience. Joining ITDP in 2020, Michael is currently working on improving the cycling experience in Jakarta including the works of street design and networks, making it more appealing for people to cycle. During his days off, he rides his bicycle and enjoys his city; exploring good places, taking photos, and having good food.
