ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Gabriel Gitau Kamande

Associate II, Transport Systems

Gabriel holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in transport engineering at the University of Nairobi. Before joining ITDP as a Transport Planning Intern, he worked as an Assistant Engineer in the Department of Roads, Transport, Public Works and Utilities, County Government of Kiambu, where he specialised in the analysis, design, and assessment of road network developments across rural and industrialised regions in the county. He is passionate about sustainable transport and climate change.
