ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Gabriel Gitau Kamande

Senior Associate, Transport Systems

Gabriel holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in transport engineering at the University of Nairobi. Before joining ITDP, he worked as an Assistant Engineer in the County Government of Kiambu, where he was involved in the analysis, design, and assessment of road network developments across the county. His areas of experience range from street design, transport planning, transport modelling, and bus rapid transit service plans. He is passionate about sustainable transport and climate change.
