Edgar Mejía

Los Angeles Fellow

Edgar (he/him/his pronouns) is responsible for research, data analysis, and supporting stakeholder and partner efforts in Los Angeles around bus, bike, and walking.

A graduate student in UCLA’s Master of Urban and Regional Planning program, Edgar aspires to build, improve, and expand access to public transportation for Los Angeles’ most under-served communities, a passion that stems from his experiences riding LA Metro’s buses in his youth and adulthood.

Before joining ITDP, Edgar held positions at the ACLU of Southern California and at an international law firm. He also has experience in public spaces and land-use research in rural El Salvador through ECOPA, a non-profit devoted to sustainable development.

Edgar is a graduate of Middlebury College where he studied Psychology and Portuguese.
