ITDP is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. ITDP’s programs focus on public transport, non-motorized transport, travel demand management, parking, transport policy, and urban development.

Edgar Mejía

Los Angeles Fellow

Edgar Mejía is a current graduate student at UCLA’s Master of Urban and Regional Planning program. He joins ITDP as a Fellow where he supports ITDP’s West Coast projects and initiatives in the Los Angeles area.

Edgar’s career aspirations to build, improve, and expand access to public transportation for Los Angeles’ most underserved communities stems from his experiences riding LA Metro’s buses in his youth and adulthood. His previous experience includes public spaces and land-use research in rural El Salvador with ECOPA, a non-profit devoted to sustainable development. He has also worked at the ACLU of Southern California and at an international law firm. Edgar is a graduate of Middlebury College where he studied Psychology and Portuguese.
