Ana Villarreal
Manager of Public Policy and Road Safety
Ana has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and urban studies, with a concentration in sustainable development from Barnard College of Columbia University. She is also a teacher in City Design and Social Sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science. With extensive international experience in Mexico, Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom, Ana has worked in local governments, international organizations and as a consultant on issues of sustainability, road safety and regional development. She joined the ITDP team in 2021 as the Public Policy and Road Safety Manager. Her areas of interest are the promotion of sustainable urban development, the incorporation of the gender perspective in mobility policies, metropolitan governance and the promotion of public transport.
