Ricardo Giesen

Ricardo Giesen is the Director of the Department of Transportation and Logistics
Engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) and Director of the
BRT+ Centre of Excellence (www.brt.cl). Professor Giesen specializes in
transportation system operations, public transportation planning and operations,
and logistics optimization. He is a co-founder and board member of Routing SpA
(www.routinguc.com), and a board member of EFE-Central (Chilean Railway
Company, www.efe.cl). He received his Ph.D. in transportation systems from the
University of Maryland at College Park and holds a degree in industrial & civil
engineering and an MSc from PUC.
