“One Goal, Many Solutions” Interbike summit aimed at raising awareness for world-wide relief efforts.

LAS VEGAS (August 22) – This year at the annual Interbike trade show, a collection of industry leaders will come together in an effort to raise awareness of bicycle relief efforts worldwide.

One Goal, Many Solutions: Empowering the World Through Bicycles is a forum organized by an affiliation of bicycle-related humanitarian organizations including BikeTown Africa, the California Bike Coalition, Project Rwanda, True Sister Shop Initiative, Wheels4Life and World Bicycle Relief. These organizations will also have a booth in the Interbike show to raise awareness of their programs.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, just as the opening bell sounds for the show, all Interbike attendees are invited to the One Goal, Many Solutions forum with industry leaders and advocates for bicycle-based humanitarian efforts.  The location will be Conference Room 601 on the show’s lower level, and refreshments will be served.

For those unable to attend the forum, a stop at the One Goal, Many Solutions booth (located next to the Bicycling magazine booth and across from SRAM on the main floor) will provide an interactive exhibit that showcases many of the bicycles used by these projects, inspirational imagery, and information on ways that show attendees can participate.

The display will be staffed by volunteers from each organization throughout the show who will be on-hand to answer questions and describe the programs.

The object of One Goal, Many Solutions is to raise awareness within the industry of the international humanitarian relief efforts currently under way. While these six groups will be represented in the booth, further signage will direct visitors to the web sites of other groups. Organizers see this as a starting point for growing and unifying the bicycle-based humanitarian efforts around the world.
