At the 24th Governing Council of UN HABITAT in Nairobi, a video was launched produced by ITDP and the Dutch Cycling Embassy on Equity and Sustainable Transport. The video presents a summary of the speech by Enrique Peñalosa at the meeting of Friends of Sustainable Transport at the UN in January, hosted by the Dutch and Thai UN mission. The Friends of Sustainable Transport meet on a quarterly base to discuss issues related to sustainable transport and the post 2015 Development Agenda. Other contributions to the meeting in January came from representatives of UN bodies, Multilateral Development Banks and other international institutions coordinated by the SLoCaT partnership. At the UN Habitat Governing Council, on the 18th of April, the video contributed to a side event on the contribution of sustainable transport to the global agenda for Sustainable Development.
