Cali’s citywide bus rapid transit service, MIO has fundamentally transformed public transport in the city, making it more efficient and more enjoyable for passengers. MIO reduced the number of bus routes needed to serve passengers, from 232 down to 81 and cut the fleet from 4,300 buses, many of which drove around far from full, to 937, which has substantially reduce emissions and air and noise pollution.
